Conclave explores the quiet tension between power, conformity and individual judgment. A gathering becomes more than a meeting; it becomes a space in which decisions are shaped by hierarchy, expectation and the unseen influence of those around us. The work reflects on the moment when individual thought enters a collective structure—when certainty becomes less clear and belonging can demand compromise. Rather than revealing what is being decided, Conclave focuses on the psychological atmosphere surrounding the decision itself. The painting invites the viewer to consider a simple question: when many voices gather behind closed doors, who is truly making the choice?
